Resilience

Although I certainly do not relish the moments of self-doubt and losing sight of purpose, the bounce-back steps are always exhilarating. And, becoming stronger and more determined than ever are the pluses.

Affordable Care Act (ACA) and Obamacare

When watching 60 Minutes last night, Charlie Rose strongly blurted out the name "Obamacare" as a lead in to his question to Bannon. Immediately, I wondered why didn't he say "Affordable Care Act". It would have been a perfect opportunity to set the record straight that the 2 are the same. In fact, all Democrats should start using ACA instead of Obamacare lest they want to keep promoting the Republican agenda and spinning. Evidently, there is a segment of the American population that believes the 2 are different.

Earthquake Recommendation

When discussing recent Equifax breach, the precarious US political situation and financial institutions, my accountant said he was more worried about earthquakes. He advised to keep $500-$1,000 in cash in assorted, small bills just in case, as ATM's could shut down.

"Through the Light"

The near-death experience of Mellen-Thomas Benedict: "We are each both male and female. We experience this in the womb and we experience this in reincarnation states. If you are looking for that ultimate soul mate outside of yourself, you may never find it; it is not there. Just as God is not "there". God is here. Don't look "out there" for God. Look here for God. Look through your Self. Start having the greatest love affair you ever had...with your Self. You will love everything out of that."

When I decided to leave my marriage, the exhilaration and freedom made me feel as though I was having a love affair with myself. It was such a Divine state to be immersed in. It was short-lived, however, as the process of leaving, the cutting of the ties that bind, and the enormity of the fight for justice were brutal and took an emotional and physical toll.

Now, I feel happy to say that working with great attention and consciousness for expansion these last number of years has brought me back to this love affair with myself.

Integrity

"The quality of being honest and having strong moral principles; moral uprightness. The state of being whole and undivided."

When reflecting on key people in my life who have acted and continue to act without integrity, I understand that their decisions have nothing to do with me and my relevance. Rather, they are choosing to not hold themselves to "consistent moral and ethical standards" because of their unmet needs, desires and/or unresolved wounding. Although it may feel "personal", ultimately, it is not.
