Awe For Solitude

My son sent me this article. Although I, too, subscribe to Good News Network, somehow I missed it. Awe is such a simple word yet hugely powerful for solitude and perhaps for advancing equanimity and enjoyment of life.

US Surgeon General Vivek Murthy was featured on NPR not too long ago stating his concerns about a potential loneliness epidemic as it relates to social connection. I think we have to be careful about fear and a label of “loneliness epidemic” especially as it relates to people living alone such as myself. This article offers a more comprehensive, important view. I absolutely agree, “Being alone doesn’t necessarily lead to loneliness. Many of us appreciate solitude as a time for personal reflection, creativity, and spiritual enrichment, even as we enjoy our social ties too. Yet, if we equate solitude with loneliness, or don’t have a positive view of it, we may avoid it and lose its potential benefits.” Certainly, though, I do understand the need for and value of good, quality social connections. We need a balance.

Magnificent Fascinating Perilous Moments

On the edge. We’re so on the edge! I understand and share the fear of another thingamabob presidency, but I really don’t subscribe to how the democrats are throwing Biden under the bus, disrespecting him, and his legacy in forcing him to step aside. I agree “there was a much more dignified way to do this if this is what they wanted.” He deserves high regard for his decades of devotion and tireless work for the thriving of this country. He’s been a good president. Especially given the distorted partisanship, one of the best in modern times. I’m not convinced that leaking private conversations to the public and fueling the mainstream chatter and chaos without a strong replacement ticket will assure a win in November. I guess we’ll know soon enough if the democrats were effective or not, smart or stupid.

Minoritarianism

“In political science, minoritarianism (or minorityism) is a neologism for a political structure or process in which a minority group of a population has a certain degree of primacy in that population’s decision making with legislative power or judicial power being held or controlled by a minority group rather than a majority that is representative of the population.” Wikipedia

Lee Harris - July Energy Update

After the devastating and predictable news of the Supreme Court granting presidential immunity, Lee’s update is perfectly timed! I feel a tad more optimistic, especially with reference to Cosmic Opening. “There will be a cosmic opening energetically in this month and in months to come that will literally burst lower frequencies on earth, personal and global. Let’s say there’s a very low vibe agenda going on on earth or a plan to keep people down; anything that’s coming from a very low place, this cosmic opening energy is literally going to be coming in and sweeping a lot of that out of the way. It means low vibrational plans will be interrupted.” I do believe each of us is part of a great, universal life force and there is an unseen world in play. Just as I know there is my individual blueprint this lifetime, I know there is a collective blueprint as well.

Without a doubt, the craziness and supreme power grab we are being subjected to by the minoritarian group hell-bent on suppression of everything good is of very low vibration. We do need help, so I hope to God Lee is right that there will be a cosmic opening energetically that blows up these lower frequences!

Flagrantly Corrupt Supreme Court

With the 6-month delay and ruling today, the emboldened, militant far right Supreme Court has cemented its political affiliation with Thingamabob and essentially given him broad immunity. The way is now paved for autocracy and dictatorship. As president, he is unshackled and free to commit crimes against anyone he chooses. Is this really a surprise? No! Disappointing and extremely scary though! Along with Chief Justices Sotomayor and Jackson and President Biden, I too dissent! Combined with overturning the long-standing precedents Roe v. Wade and Chevron v. NRDC, I, as well as others, believe we are witnessing the collapse in legitimacy of the Supreme Court. It’s been brewing. Remember Bush v. Gore in 2000 when a similar ultra-conservative Republican majority gave the presidency to Bush? No more sugarcoating this hijacking of our democracy.

It’s an understatement that we’re at an inflection point. We have to vote for the democratic ticket in November and win even if elder Joe with feeble moments is still on it. Kamala can easily step in.

Supreme Court

Similar to the Dobbs decision to overturn 1973’s Roe v. Wade on 6/24/22 and eliminate abortion as a constitutional right, yesterday the Supreme Court majority just repealed Chevron (Chevron v. Natural Resources Defense Council), their landmark 1984 decision. As Amy says in this article, “The Decision will likely have far-reaching effects across the country, from environmental regulation to healthcare costs.” The destruction of yet another long-standing precedent. Is there any doubt about the power grab of the “flagrantly corrupt”, far-right Supreme Court majority? What’s next on their docket to overturn?

When I cast my first vote in the presidential election decades ago and thereafter, I was informed and well aware that, in essence and of utmost importance, I was casting my vote for the supreme court justices. So, everyone who refused to vote for presidential-worthy Hillary Clinton in 2016 because of her gender and “unlikability”, plus the Electoral College system, enabled thingamabob to appoint 3; thereby, sending us back to the dark ages and bringing us to this brink of constitutional crisis. I remain curious as to how this will all play out.

Presidential Elections - USA

My sentiments exactly!

Now, let’s add Joe Biden’s age irrespective of the enormity of what he’s achieved with a partisanship Congress and a younger, capable Vice-President ready to assume the reins should something happen to him. What’s the alternative? A narcissistic psychopath who will destroy our country and destabilize the world? (Applicatory adjectives courtesy of George Conway.)
