This was not the “giddy up” I imagined—that The Year of the Fire Horse would begin with the United States and Israel initiating war, bombing Iran, destroying and killing so many. Wiping out a girls’ school, stealing their future, and erasing safe learning spaces in an instant? Unequivocally, this is the antithesis of conscious, enlightened leadership.

I’m moved to repost my Ravages of a Relationship. Although I painted it during the divorce, it pertains to any relationship where patriarchy, dominance and control, sexism, racism, and elitism are in play to maintain power hierarchies. As I live in America, I have a relationship with the current deranged, evil, misogynistic leader and administration. And, globally, everyone else does too as we’re all interconnected and experiencing the ravages. No doubt these are suspenseful times!
