This was not the “giddy up” I imagined—that The Year of the Fire Horse would begin with the United States and Israel initiating war, bombing Iran, destroying and killing so many. Wiping out a girls’ school, stealing their future, and erasing safe learning spaces in an instant? Unequivocally, this is the antithesis of conscious, enlightened leadership.

I’m moved to repost my Ravages of a Relationship. Although I painted it during the divorce, it pertains to any relationship where patriarchy, dominance and control, sexism, racism, and elitism are in play to maintain power hierarchies. As I live in America, I have a relationship with the current deranged, evil, misogynistic leader and administration. And, globally, everyone else does too as we’re all interconnected and experiencing the ravages of the abuses. Suspenseful times is an understatement!
